The governor of Taiz Ameen Mahmoud on Tuesday discussed with the various political stakeholders in the city the measures that the local security authorities havetaken to re-normalize life in the city.
The security authorities launched on Monday a crackdown on marauding serial assassins who, on Saturday, had shot dead Hanna Lahoud, an employee of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Mahmoud highlighted in the meeting the crackdown campaign which resulted in killing a terror suspect and in deploying law enforcement soldiersin precincts where only thugs had been.
Mahmoud stressed the need for the city's various parties and political groups to rally behind the government against the enemy besieging the city for years- Houthi rebel militia.
The parties appreciated Mahmoud's newly taken measures to extend and firm up state control, get closed state institutions back to operation , end military irregularities and break the Houthi siege around the city.
