Yemen's judo fighters have won three goldand two silver medals in the Arab Judo Championship in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The victory achieved by players from Hilal al-Hodeidah and ShararatLahjclubs is a beacon of hope for Yemen, a country struggling to put down a devastating insurgency by Iran-backed rebels.
Yemen's Ali Khasroof won one of the gold medals in the 60 kg category at the expense of Bahrain's Mohammed Nerjas.
