The ministers of labor at the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) have confirmed that they are working to reduce unemployment rates in member countries whose unemployment rate averaged 7.4 per cent in 2016, above the global average.
The ministers stressed during their declaration issued at the end of their conference concluded in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday that the issue of employment is essential for the well-being of people and economic growth.
The Ministers announced the expansion of coordination and cooperation among OIC members with regard to labor, employment and social protection for labor.
Yemen's participating delegation in the event was represented by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Ibtihaj al-Kamal.
