The Ministry of Human Rights has condemned the assassination of a female human rights activist by Houthi rebels in Yemen's southwestern cityof Taiz on Thursday.
A Houthi sniper shot dead Reeham Bader Mohammed Abdul Wassaand her male colleague MoaminSaeed, both membersof the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations to Human Rightswhile they were on a humanitarian relief mission in Salah district, east of Taiz. The sniper injured a third colleague to them seriously.
In a statement to Saba, Minister Mohammed Askarcalled the incident "a heinous crime."
