[09/02/2018 03:30]

The Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Relief Ad Abduraqib Fatahcondemned the Houthi coup militia for continuing to loot and seize relief and humanitarian aid, considering that a violation to all international humanitarian laws.

In a statement to Saba, he said that the army's discovery of large stocks of humanitarian relief aid stored in a farm belonging to one of the loyalists to the coup militias called Abdullah HamoudTaleb al-Ahdal in Heis district south of Hodeidah is a compelling evidence the rebel militia continuesto starve the Yemeni people by looting aid.

Upon overrunning the district, the army found also 2000 food packs carryingthe UN organization's logo that one of the Houthi loyalist officials had seized and stored in the GPC party's branch premises.

Fatah called on the Humanitarian Coordinator's office to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter, to keepa record of all aid and its reach to the intended beneficiaries, and to report any acts of aid seizing by the militia coup.

Fatah renewed his call to the international community to pressure the militias to hand over all seaports and airports to the internationally recognized government, pointing out that the militia's retaining ofports at their hand poses a real threat and serves these ports' exploitation for non-civilian purposes.
