The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen calls on IFAD Fund to resume its activities in Yemen

Yemen's ambassador and permanent envoy to the UN's agencies which operate in Rome Asmahan Attowqi called on the Internal Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to resume its operation in Yemen.
Attowqi submitted her suggestion during her meeting on Thursday with president of IFAD Bern Sant Inga. The meeting devoted to discuss the means to resume the IFAD's developmental projects through new mechanism that can cope with the ongoing challenges.
Attoqi highlighted Yemen's need for resuming cooperation with the IFAD in order to support developmental projects that Yemeni peoples are in need of.
The president of the IFAD has welcomed the suggestion, affirming that the IFAD is willing to consider the possible options to revive cooperation with Yemen.
