GCC's Ministerial Council Confirms its Support for Yemen's Unity, Sovereignty, Calls for Designating Houthi Militias Terrorist Group
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) affirmed the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and the unity of its territory, calling on the UN Security Council to implement its resolutions regarding Yemen and the rebellion of the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi has expressed his appreciation for the position conveyed by members of the United Nations Security Council in their presidential statement regarding the attacks carried out by the Houthi terrorist militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labors and the Deputy Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Ibtihaj al-Kamal has praised efforts of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition for allocating USD 1.5 billion for relief within the Humanitarian Response Plan 2018 issued by the UN.
This support comes in the framework of the coalition's efforts- led by Saudi Arabia- for supporting Yemeni people, said al-Kamal in a statement to Saba.
"The Response Plan covered all humanitarian relief projects needed by Yemeni people, in addition to allocating funds within this plan for early recovery projects in consistence with the government of Yemen's vision for carrying out projects attracting laborers and lead to economic growth," she added.
She pointed out that the plan included also rehabilitating outlets and expanding them for receiving greatest numbers of relief aid, which will also help in influx of aid through air, ground and marine outlets specified by the government and the Arab Coalition for providing aid to all provinces.
Minister al-Kamal also valued Saudi deposit of USD 2 billion for supporting the Yemeni Riyal.
