The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sha'i al-Zandani met on Saturday with heads and representatives of Yemeni community in Saudi Eastern Region and discussed with them a number of issues on situations of of Yemeni community in their places.
Ambassador al-Zandani got acquainted with efforts exerted by leadership of Yemeni community in Dammam, Khubar, Jebail and Ehsa'a and their roles in alleviating obstacles facing members of Yemeni community.
He presented a review on efforts of the government for solving problems facing Yemeni expatriates in Saudi Arabia and pointed out to negative effects caused by Iran- backed gangs and its direct effects on expatriates.
He confirmed keenness of the embassy on providing facilities to expatriates and improving services, expressing thanks of Yemen's government to Saudi authorities for taking care of Yemen people.
