Jaboobiraises Sana'a physical eliminations with SA official

In a meeting with the Director General of the Middle East Department in South African's Foreign Ministry,Yemen's Acting Ambassador to South AfricaNajib Al Jaboobi raised the campaign of physical eliminations, abductions and other abuses theHouthi rebels are practicing against members of the GPC and otherpolitical parties in their areas of control including Sana'a.

Jaboobi pointed to the brutal crackdown Houthis have been carrying out against the GPC members since they indicated their willingness to hold a dialogue with the government. He said that the rebel militia has brutally quelled peaceful protests and blocked all social networking websites.

He also cited the government's repeated offers for peace talks out of its keenness to end the Yemeni people's immense suffering saying the rebels are not showing interest in peace.
