Presidential Decisions Bring Historic Gains for Yemeni Women
The recent republican decisions issued yesterday, Thursday, marked a new turning point in promoting the participation of Yemeni women in decision-making positions. The decisions included the appointment of Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, making her the first woman in the country's history to hold this sovereign portfolio. Moreover, Dr. Ahd Mohammed Salem Jaasous was appointed Minister of Local Administration, becoming the first woman to take on this ministry since the establishment of the republic.

New military batch of safeguarding personalities graduated

New military batch of 1200 soldiers trained on safeguarding leaders affiliated with Ministry of Interior have been graduated on Monday.

In the graduation ceremony, Commander of Special Forces General Fadhl Ba'ish praised the national spirit enjoyed by personnel of Special Forces shown in the training during which they overcame all conditions and challenges left by the war waged by rebels on Aden and all Yemeni cities.

"The graduation of Special Forces and safeguarding personalities forces came in the framework of exerted efforts for retraining and prequalifying security units for defending and protecting the homeland and its accomplishment," said Ba'ish.
He added this batch will be entrusted with implementing a number of duties together with security and military forces for tightening Aden's security.
