President al-Alimi convenes meeting of government, local authorities

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) held today, Tuesday, a small government meeting included the governors of the government-held governorates, the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani and the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) Ahmed Ghaleb.

Consultative session on 2018 state budget

Plenary meeting organized Sunday in Aden by Ministry of Finance aimed to draw consultations about draft proposal of 2018 state budget in the government held provinces. Ministries of Planning and International Cooperation and Civil Service contributed to the discussions.

"This gathering aimed to work out an overall draft of the state general budget of 2018 in the liberated provinces", said Minister of Higher Education Dr Hussein Ba-Salamah, who contributed to the debates.

Deputy Minister of Finance Dr Mansour al-Bitani suggested that consultations aimed to help outlining major parameters through exploring the process of mobilizing resources related revenues and cutting down unnecessary expenditures.

Three committees were set up to work on analyzing data related to revenues, discussing current expenses and investment expenditures and reconstruction.
