Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr has affirmed the Interior Ministry'ssovereign role in keeping law and orderin the temporary capital Aden and other government-held territories.

In a meeting with the Ministry's senior officials in Aden on Thursday, he said that the performance of the security establishment will be benchmark of success for the government.

He lauded the services offered by the Passports, Traffic and Civil Status departments in Aden saying the Passports Department's new headquarters will be inaugurated soon.

The Ministry officials briefed him on the security plan in place to foil terror attacks in coordination with the Defense Ministry as well as the plans of security deployment to maintain law and order.
