Governor of Hadhramout and Commander of the Second Military Region General Faraj al-Bahsani launched on Tuesday anti-cholera campaign entitled "Hadhramout Free of Cholera Epidemic."
Implemented by the Ministry of Public Health and Population Office and financed by the government, the campaign aims at getting rid of cholera by the end of 2017.
In the inauguration ceremony, Governor al-Bahsani called locals to activate with the campaign until achieving its objectives to complete efforts have been exerted for months in fighting the epidemic since documenting the first case.
He urged concerned bodies to play their role as demanded and as team work to guarantee success of the campaign and conveying its experience in fighting the epidemic into other provinces.
He valued efforts exerted by the government, office of the ministry and other concerned bodies, as well as volunteering bodies in fighting the epidemic.
Water and Sanitation Corporation, Cleaning and Improvement Fund, Social Affairs Office, Rural Water Authority's branch and Public Work Office participate in the campaign.
