Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

VP suggests more efforts to improve security severces

The Vice President General Ali Mohssien Saleh met Saturday with the Undersecretary of Interior Ministry for Security Affairs Maj. General Dr Ahmed Al-Mosawee and Undersecretary of Interior Ministry Maj. General Mohammed Salim Bin-Abbood.

During the meeting Gen.Mohssien highlighted the importance of improving capacities of the security services personnel of interior ministry so as to be qualified to do their job efficiently and professionally.

Performance of the security service in the liberated regions and counter-terrorism and crime efforts were in focus of the meeting.

Gen. Mohssien recommended more efforts and high-alert to foil terrorist and criminal plots. Sleep terrorist cells need to be traced and anybody may seek to disturb the country security and stability must be dealt with firm, he stated.

The VP expressed thanks to Marib people, security and military authorities headed by the governor Maj. General Sultan Al-Arradah who gives great attention to security and military services. Marib's population and authorities set good example for the liberated governorates that successfully included all Yemenis from different regions, he noted.

Mohssien suggested that more efforts and attention are needed to further develop security services capacities so that they can do their job effectively.

The two Undersecretary of the governorate made presentation about underway efforts aiming to train security servicemen and re-prioritize security missions and priorities.
