The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdul-Latif al-Zayani has said that the Arab Coalition backing the government against the SalehHouthi coup militias is "keen on avoiding civilian and child harms in Yemen."

In a press statement, he commendedthe Coalition for keeping of its military operations in line with the international humanitarian laws, which the UN latest reporton Children and Armed Conflicts cited.

Al-Zayanii rejected the figures provided by the UN report concerning alleged child victims of airstrikes saying the information were derived from unreliable sources affiliate to the Saleh-Houthi rebel alliance.
