KSrelief educates fathers and guardians of rehabilitated child fighters
[26/09/2017 02:35]
ALJAWF-SABA

King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) has organized an awareness raising course for a number of fathers and guardians in Aljawf province on how to guard against future recruitment of their children to fighting positions.

Their children, formerly recruited by the Saleh-Houthi couper militia to fight against the state, are being rehabilitated to be re-integrated back into the society and back to schools in particular.

KS relief raised the fathers/guardians' awareness about the size of violations incurred on children by recruiting them to fighting roles and about their legal accountability for keeping their children guarded against any attempts to involve them in the country's armed conflict.

KSrelief is now rehabilitating 40 children in Aljawf and Marib and will rehabilitate additional 40 children in Taiz and Amran provinces.
