Torrential rains have killed 18 persons as the floodwater swept away everything in its way including scores of vehicles in Almaqatera valley, in southwestern Taiz.
Local sources said 10 corpses of the 18 have already been found and the rest bodies are still unaccounted for. "The search for them is ongoing."
The local authority of Taiz called on the international organizations to help with relief aid to several people affected by the flood waters that keep falling from the steep mount of Al-Abd onto Al-Maqatera valley area.
