Launch of awareness campaign on cholera in Shabwah

Assistant Deputy Governor of Shabwah Salem al-Ahmadi on Saturday launched a six-day awareness campaign on cholera epidemic funded by UNICEF in Shabwah.

Al-Ahmadi hailed the medical and technical preparations to raise social awareness in protection of cholera.

For his part, Director General of the health office in Shabwah Nasser al-Marzaqi spelt out that 686 medical teams are participating in the campaign throughout different districts of Shabwah.

Director General of the health media and enlightenment office Mohammed al-Hamal said that 1560 health workers were trained on implementing the campaign in 17 governorates.
