The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen's Planning and International Cooperation on Thursday signed a partnership agreement with the World Food Program worth $550 million.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi and WFP Country Director Stephen Anderson.
The minister praised the role of WFP in supporting Yemen in different stages, spelling out that the support will be implemented in a specific stage and target 7 million Yemenis.
He spelt out that the provision of food is a priority the government seeks to provide through fruitful cooperation with WFP, FAO and UNICEF.
He said that the agreement aims to support the Yemeni government in improve living conditions of poor people, hailing the urgent response of WFP to Yemen's humanitarian needs.
