Women union discuss prompt response to GBV survivors

The Yemen Women Union branch office in Mukalla held an open roundtable discussion on prompt response to gender-based violence GBV survivors in Mukalla on Tuesday.
The meeting brought together women leaders including female and male CSO representatives, neighborhood chieftains, barristers, law experts, media personnel and Guidance and Endowments officials.
The chairwoman of the Union branch office Salma al-Katheeri said the discussion, scheduled to last two months with UNFPA support, comes as part of a larger more comprehensive program that aims to create a community partnership.
The prolonged roundtable discussion is meant to come up at the end with effective addresses of the issues facing violence escaper women.
