U.S. Treasury Sanctions 21 Individuals, Entities for Involvement in Financing Houthi Militias
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

VP congratulates his US counterpart on the US Independence Day

Vice president L.t General Ali Mohsen Saleh has sent a cable of congratulations to his US counterpart Mike Pence on the occasion of the United States Independence Day, July 4.

The Yemeni VP valued the US support to the legitimate state in Yemen and said Yemen's political leadership is looking forward to working together with the US in fighting terrorism and supporting peace and stability in Yemen which have been compromised by the terrorist Houthi militias' coup. A coup against "the people's will, the national and international peace references, the National Dialogue outcomes and the UNSC resolutions no. 2216 and other relevant resolutions."

The vice president expressed his sincere congratulations to the US president and vice president wishing them welfare and health and wishing the US people continued prosperity and progress. He expressed his hopes of the cooperation relations to continue between the two friendly nations and to increase cooperation in all security, political and economic relations.
