The Government of Yemen has expressed its deep concern and regret regarding the recent decision made by the U.S. Administration to restrict the entry of citizens of the Republic of Yemen to the United States, as part of a group of countries included in this decision.

Yemen's Chief of Staff Major Gen.Mohammed A. al-Maqdashi called for safeguarding the society against alien agendas and rumors. In a meeting with preachers, judges and morale officers in Marib, al-Maqdashi called them to counter the spread of rumours and alien inventions into the religion by extremists and militants with foreign agendas who are scheming against the Yemeni people's sound Islamic doctrine.
He said: "We are today fighting in defense of our doctrine, dignity and homeland. The putschists came with an agenda to attack our doctrine and destroy the state institutions and the very bonds of the society."
He expressed his gratitude for the Saudi and UAE-led Arab coalition's intervention that foiled the Persian agenda which was targeting the whole region starting from Yemen.
