A tripartite agreement was signed Wednesday between the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, the Yemeni Oil Company (PetroMasila), and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen to finance petroleum derivatives and supply more than 70 power generation stations across various governorates.

Information Minister launches new English news version

Riyadh (Saba)- Information Minister Mumar al-Eryani on Saturday launched a new English news version of the Yemeni News Agency (Saba).

Al-Eryani made clear that the English news website aims to transmit media massages, Yemen's development, achievements of the government, provision of services, stabilization and security, normalization of life, reconstruction of what was destroyed by the Houthi-Saleh militias.

He exalted efforts exerted by the Yemeni News Agency and its staff, and coverage of local, Arab and International news, pointing out that Saba, and its journalists and correspondents do best, despite the scarcity of resources.

The minister stressed that media outlets should play a significant role in the awareness, revelation of systemic crimes and violations committed by the Houthi-Saleh militias.

He further spelt out that the Houthi-Saleh militias repress media outlets and journalists, detain and use them as human shields because they managed to transmit facts to the international community about the crimes made by the militias.
