Japan grants Yemen $14 million for education, health projects

(Saba)- The Japanese government has given a grant of $14 million for funding education and health projects Yemen.
In a press release issued on Monday, the Japanese Embassy said that that grant was handed over to UNICEF, indicating that the grant aimed to improve nutrition for children and mothers, reduce malnutrition rate, increase opportunity of access to education and train teachers.
Japan previously committed to provide a grant of $42 million for the Yemeni people, pointing out that the total of Japanese assistance to Yemen amounted $56 million in 2017.
