Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the development of Yemen's higher education sector, stressing the importance of strengthening scientific research and enabling universities to fulfill their national and developmental role in preparing qualified professionals capable of contributing to the country's recovery and state-building efforts.

The remarks came during a meeting with President of the University of Aden Dr. Al-Khader Lasour, President of the University of Abyan Dr. Mahmoud al-Maisari, and President of the University of Lahj Dr. Ahmed Mahdi Fadhl.

The meeting reviewed the conditions facing public universities, the challenges confronting academic and educational processes, and urgent requirements to ensure the continuity of academic performance and improve the quality of higher education. Discussions also addressed the implementation of a Cabinet decision concerning the financial entitlements associated with academic promotions for university faculty members and teaching staff.
