Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba held a virtual meeting on Tuesday with French Ambassador to Yemen Catherine Corm-Kammoun to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in development and economic sectors, including financing development projects, building institutional capacities, supporting Yemen’s national development plan, advancing health and school nutrition initiatives, and enhancing the role of the private sector in development.
The discussions also covered opportunities for coordination with regional and international partners to maximize the impact of development projects in Yemen, prospects for joint financing in the water and health sectors, and ways to capitalize on Yemen’s strategic geographic location to promote regional trade connectivity.
Dr. Al-Zouba reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with France and expanding areas of cooperation in line with the priorities of the government program led by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani and the needs of the Yemeni people.
