The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, held a joint meeting today, Monday, with the National Defense Council, (NDC) in the presence of all its members: Sultan al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem al-Khanbashi.

Public Works Minister Discusses Stoped Projects with Taiz Governor

The Minister of Public Works and Roads Eng. Hussein al-Aqrabi discussed Monday with Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan the condition of roads and projects in Taiz.

The meeting delt with ways to accelerate the implementation of stoped projects and strengthen efforts to improve infrastructure in the governorate.

The meeting addressed the governorate’s needs in maintaining and rehabilitating main and rural roads, the key challenges and obstacles facing several projects, and mechanisms to address them in order to speed up completion and improve services provided to citizens.

It also included discussions on future plans for infrastructure and development projects in the governorate.

The participants also discussed the status of weigh stations and mechanisms to regulate their operations, with directives issued to all relevant authorities in the governorate to promptly hand over the weigh stations to the Road Maintenance Fund, contributing to better organization and support for road maintenance and rehabilitation efforts.

Minister Al-Aqrabi emphasized the ministry’s commitment to supporting road projects in Taiz and implementing priority service projects according to available resources, stressing the importance of continuous coordination between the ministry and local authorities to overcome challenges and drive development forward.

For his part, the governor praised the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works and its commitment to addressing the governorate’s needs, appreciating the support provided for infrastructure projects and improving the road network in a way that alleviates citizens’ suffering and enhances economic and developmental activity.
