The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the People's Republic of China Dr. Mohammed al-Mataymi celebrated the distinguished and constructive Yemeni-Chinese relations have proven very fruitful and helpful.

"Yemeni-Chinese relationships have been robust, distinguished and fruitful over seven decades", he said.

He voiced his remark during his conversations today, Wednesday, with the Director General of the Department of West Asia and North Africa at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wei Qingchen.

They conferred over the bilateral relations and cooperation as well as the developments in Yemen.

Al-Maytami highlighted need for international support to sustain the Yemeni government's efforts to manage the humanitarian and economic challenges .

The Chinese official affirmed Beijing's position in support of Yemen and the regional and international efforts aimed to establish peace and stability.
