Ambassador of Yemen to Indonesia, Salem Balfaqih discussed Monday with the Head of the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) in Indonesia Dr. Haikal Baras ways to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting addressed the approved regulatory procedures for registering and certifying halal products, with a focus on the requirements for Yemeni products to enter the Indonesian market in accordance with technical regulations and compliance standards applied within the halal system.
It also discussed supporting an increase in trade volume between the two countries and opening broader horizons for economic cooperation.
Ambassador Balfaqih reviewed the distinctive, competitive and high-quality products Yemen possesses, which qualify them for entry into global markets, including the Indonesian market.
He highlighted a number of priority goods led by premium products such as coffee, beans and honey.
