Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi discussed, today, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Resident Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Yemen Adam Feniman joint cooperation and partnership in the fields of water, environment and food security.
The conversations touched on the Biodiversity Conservation and Livelihoods Project in the natural reserves of Socotra, Hawf and Dhamar as well as the Wadi Hajar Project, through which the Ministry contributes to improving the sewage network in the city of Mukalla.
Separately, al-Sharjabi met today with the Director of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Aden Mohamed Rafiq.
They conferred over aspects of cooperation between the Ministry and the UNHCR and the ongoing arrangements for the Global Forum on Refugees and Displaced Persons.
