The Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz discussed Monday with the French Ambassador to Yemen Catherine Corm-Kamoun and the French Military Attaché, strengthening military and security cooperation.
The meeting discussed maritime security efforts, combating terrorism and smuggling and coordination mechanisms to enhance maritime navigation security and confront the threats posed by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime to regional and global security.
The Chief of Staff reviewed the efforts of the Yemeni Armed Forces to maintain security and stability in the liberated governorates.
He expressed his aspiration to support the capabilities of the Yemeni army and enhance the efficiency of the forces in the training, technical and technological fields and exchange expertise.
He appreciated the positions of the Republic of France in support of Yemen and its government, and the contribution of French forces in enhancing maritime security, combating smuggling operations, and controlling shipments of support and weapons sent by Iran to the Houthi militias.
The Chief of Staff expressed his thanks and appreciation for the sincere fraternal positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in preserving the unity, security and stability of Yemen and their unlimited support.
