Egypt also reaffirmed its continued efforts to push toward reaching a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement to the Yemeni crisis through ongoing communication with all relevant parties, based on national dialogue among all components of the Yemeni people within a framework of consensus, respect for Yemeni national constants, and in a manner that contributes to strengthening unity of position, protecting Arab national security, and consolidating security and stability in the region.
The statement indicated that the Arab Republic of Egypt is closely following recent developments on the Yemeni scene and expresses its deep concern over the risks of potential escalation and its repercussions on Yemen’s security and stability and the possible consequences that may affect the security of the entire region.
