Saudi Arabia has reiterated its commitment to Yemen's security, stability, and sovereignty, and expressed regret over the UAE's actions pressuring the Southern Transitional Council (STC) to conduct military operations on Saudi borders in Hadramout and Al-Mahra provinces.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that the UAE's actions threaten regional security and stability, and contradict the basis of the coalition supporting Yemen's legitimacy. The ministry emphasized that any threat to Saudi national security is a "red line" and will be met with necessary measures.
The statement affirmed that the southern issue in Yemen should be addressed through dialogue and a comprehensive political solution, involving all Yemeni factions, including the STC. Saudi Arabia urged the UAE to withdraw its forces from Yemen within 24 hours, stop military and financial support to any party, and prioritize brotherly relations and regional stability.
