The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi met today, Sunday, at al-Ma'shiq Palace, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh and the Deputy Minister for Population Dr. Salem al-Shabhi.

Buhaybeh detailed al-Zubaidi on the health services in the governorate of Socotra archipelagoes after his recent inspection visit to the governorate.

Maj. General al-Zubaid stressed that it is very important to pay special attention to governmental hospital in the archipelagoes. He said" Efforts must be increased to improve medical services to the fellow citizens".

The Minister also reported to the PLC's Member about the public hospitals and medical facilities in the interim capital Aden and all government-held governorates.

The health interventions by the international partners in health sector were also touched on, namely the plan the UN Office for Projects Services is working on to rehabilitate the Friendship Hospital and the Republic Hospital in Aden.
