Leadership Council Member Tariq Saleh Launches Initial Segment of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road
[27/10/2025 01:15]
MOKHA-SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Tariq Saleh, officially launched on Monday the initial segment of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. The 37-kilometer stretch extends from the Mawza-Al-Mokha junction to the Al-Kadaha region in Taiz Governorate.

During the ceremony, Tariq Saleh emphasized that the project marks a significant milestone for the residents of Taiz, who have long endured the hardships of the Houthi-imposed blockade.

He noted that the Al-Kadaha route served as the first vital passageway into Taiz since the siege was enforced.

He commended the substantial assistance from the United Arab Emirates, whose backing has been pivotal in advancing infrastructure and reconstruction efforts along the western coastline for the benefit of the Yemeni populace. He also announced that the next segment of the highway—connecting Al-Mokha city to the Mawza intersection—will be finalized soon.
