Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi meets with Korean Ambassador to Yemen

RIYADH - SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi received Thursday the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Yemen Do Bong-ke on the occasion of the Fortieth Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Yemen and the Republic of Korea.

The two parties discussed prospects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them.

During the meeting, Dr. al-Alimi expressed his deep appreciation for the continued Korean support for the Republic of Yemen, both in terms of development and humanitarian aid, and through effective political support in international forums, particularly in the UN Security Council.

He praised the prominent role played by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (COICA) through the implementation of many health and educational projects and capacity building programs that benefited a large number of Yemenis, stressing the keenness of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to enhance cooperation with Korea in various fields.

Dr. al-Alimi also stressed the unity and cohesion of the Presidential Leadership Council and the integration of its efforts in managing the current stage, in a way that enhances the stability of state institutions and supports the government to move forward with economic and financial reforms, provide basic services to citizens and confront all the challenges facing our people.
