Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, met with US Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, to discuss ongoing peace endeavors and obstacles posed by Iranian backing for Houthi terrorist militia.
He welcomed Ambassador Fagin back to Yemen and expressed gratitude for Washington's support of reconciliation efforts, counter-terrorism collaboration, and initiatives to thwart Iranian arms shipments to Houthis.
Their conversation encompassed results from Yemen's participation in the 80th UN General Assembly session and diplomatic meetings held to mobilize international backing for restoring Yemen's sovereignty, terminating the coup, and accelerating economic revitalization to alleviate war consequences.
