MOKHA - SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Tariq Saleh, underscored the importance of commemorating the 63rd National Day of the glorious September 26 Revolution, marking Yemen's transition from darkness and isolation to modernity.
In an interview with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on this anniversary, Saleh stated, "This occasion recalls not just a historical milestone, but the genesis of the Republic of Yemen and a newfound consciousness freeing people from priestly dominance, restoring dignity and equality."
Tariq Saleh added, "The September 26 Revolution was as much intellectual and cultural as political and military, catapulting Yemen into the modern era and unlocking education, development, and national identity for future generations."
Leadership Council member Tariq Saleh pointed out that the republic's current battle against the Houthi version of the Imamate project signifies, "Our struggle transcends weaponry - it's a clash of ideologies and existence, pitting a republican vision for the future against a priestly ideology mired in the past."
On this national occasion, Leadership Council member Tariq Saleh paid tribute to all steadfast free and republican people within Houthi-controlled areas, who carry September 26 in their hearts and face oppression with patience and determination, proving the revolution's spirit endures.
The Leadership Council member emphasized that the people's resilience and heroes' sacrifices are a natural extension of the the September 11th radiance and a living embodiment of the pledge made by the people (that there is no return to the Imamate, and that the republic is Yemen's destiny and its irrevocable choice).
