His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) underlined the announcement of the establishment of the Multinational Naval Defense Alliance led by Saudi Arabia, describing this move as a strategic initiative and a very important step to boost collective security, protect international navigation and secure vital sea routes in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Health Minister discusses with WHO emergency operations project

The Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh discussed today, Thursday, in the temporary capital of Aden, with the Acting-Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Yemen and the Director of the organization's Office in Aden Dr. Noha Mahmood joint coordination between the two sides to serve the priorities of the health sector.

The meeting addressed the health emergency operations project and the available resources to carry out and to get its necessary structures completed, besides developing a comprehensive plan to develop the emergency room and identifying urgent priority tasks to ensure a swift response to health crises and disasters.

Dr. Noha Mahmoo stated that the WHO is committed to boost the existing partnership with the Ministry of Health in order to help improving the health services.
