Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation for International Cooperation Affairs, Omar Abdulaziz, met with the Regional Director of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Tawfiq Al-Bazri, in Aden to discuss strengthening cooperation in agricultural and rural development.
The meeting, attended by the Deputy Executive Director of the Social Fund for Development and representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), reviewed the progress of the first phase of the Rural Livelihoods Development Project in Yemen, funded by IFAD.
The discussions focused on preparations for the second phase, challenges facing the project, and potential solutions to resume IFAD loans for new development projects in the country.
