Central Bank Revokes Licenses of 13 Exchange Companies for Violations

The Central Bank of Yemen in the temporary capital, Aden, has issued a decision to revoke the licenses of 13 money exchange companies and establishments for violating regulations.
According to the decision, issued by Central Bank Governor Ahmed Ghaleb, the companies and establishments have been found in breach of laws and regulations governing banking, exchange activities, and anti-money laundering and terrorist financing.
The decision was based on the findings of a field inspection report submitted by the Bank Supervision Sector.
