The Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shemssan, met with the Deputy Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) in Yemen, Al-Rashid Hammad, to discuss the emergency and service needs of Taiz Governorate.
During the meeting, Governor Shemssan praised the WFP's efforts and interventions in Yemen, emphasizing the importance of expanding the program's scope to several districts due to the increasing population density and rising waves of displacement. He also highlighted the need for school feeding projects and expanding them to several schools and educational centers.
The Governor assured the local authority's commitment to overcoming obstacles facing international organizations and enhancing coordination and cooperation with donors, the private sector, and civil society organizations.
