The Republic of Yemen participated Wednesday in a high-level meeting of permanent representatives to the Arab League to discuss the launch of the Arab Observatory for the Economic Development of Women, proposed by the United Arab Emirates.
This meeting included the Acting Permanent Representative of Yemen to the Arab League, in implementation of the decision from the Bahrain Summit to establish the observatory.
It aims to support joint Arab action and enhance the role of women in achieving sustainable development, as well as the Arab League's role in promoting active participation from member states to activate regional mechanisms that support women's economic empowerment.
This initiative reflects a collective commitment to enhancing the role of women in the Arab economy through qualitative initiatives that address structural challenges and establish sustainable systems that promote women's participation in development pathways in line with the priorities of the Arab development agenda.
