The Climate Change Adaptation Fund has approved a $9.9 million project to enhance resilience to water scarcity and floods in Tuban Delta, Lahj Governorate.
The project, announced by Yemen's Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, aims to improve the delta's adaptability to climate change.
The project will implement integrated water resource management, utilizing smart technologies to enhance drinking water supplies, and introduce modern irrigation systems to rationalize water use.
It will also build institutional and community capacities to enhance climate resilience in the water sector.
