The United Nations Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) today surveyed the extensive damage caused by Houthi shelling, which targeted the homes of displaced persons and a number of farms in Al-Khawkhah city.

The UNMHA mission expressed its deep concern over the escalating violations targeting populated areas, stressing the need to provide protection for civilians and compensate those affected.

The Director of Security of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, Brigadier General Najib Warq, called on the United Nations to take a clear and explicit position regarding what he described as the "brutal crimes" committed by the Houthi militia against civilians.
