The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, held a joint meeting today, Monday, with the National Defense Council, (NDC) in the presence of all its members: Sultan al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem al-Khanbashi.

Tariq Saleh inspects al-Makha Port, reviews agricultural export activities

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Tariq Saleh inspected al-Makha Port in Taiz Governorate and reviewed the plans for the port's development and deepening as part of a project aimed at transforming it into a vital transport hub in the country.

During the visit, Tariq Saleh observed the export activities of Yemeni agricultural products through the port to the Gulf Arab countries and the Horn of Africa, emphasizing the importance of enhancing exports and improving infrastructure to support the national economy.

He also met with several ship captains and port workers, learning about the operations of loading and transporting thousands of tons of coastal onions to neighboring countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and countries in the Horn of Africa.

In his discussions with the port workers, the member of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of doubling efforts to develop the port's capabilities and improve transportation and export services.
