The Republic of Yemen chaired the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives to discuss the Arab and international efforts to compel the Israeli occupation to stop its crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The meeting addressed the seriousness of the situation in the Palestinian territories, especially in light of the resumption of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and its direct bombardment of populated areas with unarmed civilians.

This occurs while the residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe due to the imposed blockade and the tremendous destruction caused by the continuous bombardment, leading to a complete collapse of infrastructure and a severe shortage of food, medicine and water, amidst international silence.
