Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Lieutenant General Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaya Zindani received condolences this Friday evening in the temporary capital, Aden, on the passing of the late former President, Field Marshal and veteran leader Abd-Rabu Mansour Hadi, who passed away after a life filled with national, political and military service during pivotal moments in Yemen’s modern history.

President al-Alimi meets with Parliament headship

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the (PLC) held consultations today, Thursday, with the Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani and the two members of the Parliament leadership: Mohammed al-Shadadi and Mohsen BaSorrah on the developments of the political, economic and services situations and the ongoing efforts to ease the humanitarian suffering that has been seriously exacerbated by the attacks of the Iranian regime-allied terrorist Houthi militias on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.

President al-Alimi updated the Parliament leadership on the developments in the national scene and the government's plans and measures to deliver on the State's obligations, including pay employees' salary, sustainable basic services, bolster efforts to restore the national institutions and eliminate the Iranian-regime backed Houthi militias' coup d'état.

His Excellency also cited the outcomes of his contribution to the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cario, Munich Conference on International Security and his recent meetings with the regional allies and international partners to mobilize support for the Yemeni people, mitigate its humanitarian suffering and achieve its aspirations for security, stability and peace.

The Chairman of the PLC applauded the enforcement of the American administration's decision about designating the Houthi militias a FTO, reiterated the commitment of the government to take all measures in coordination with the international community to direct the decision on its main objectives, reduce any negative impacts on the Yemeni financial and banking system and the fellow citizens' interests, ensure flow of relief aids and basic commodity exports .
