Maj. General al-Zubaidi briefed on actions of Customs Authority, Free Zone Security

The Mmber of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi was briefed on the progress of work in the Customs Authority and the security of the Free Zone in the temporary capital Aden.

During his meeting today, Monday, included the Director of the Authority, Abdul Hakim al-Qubati, the Director of Aden Security, Maj. General Mutahar al-Shuaibi, the Director of Free Zone Security, Colonel Jamal Dayan and the Director General of the Free Zone Customs, he was detailed on the progress of the Customs Authority actions and the efforts exerted to enhance customs performance and control over incoming and outgoing goods, with the aim of regulating commercial activity and preventing any illegal practices.

The discussions concentrated on the most notable challenges facing the Customs' action and the ways to manage the difficulties to ensure smoothly running customs operations to prop the national economy.

Maj. General al-Zubaidi also was briefed on the security situation in the Customs' entries and the efforts have been exerted by the security services to control smuggling operations and prevent any attempt may damage the national economy.

Maj. General al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of establishing effective solutions to address the complaints of the fellow citizens and to ensure smoothly Customs' action and ease import and export movement in order to revitalize the economic drive.

The Member of the PLC emphasized the importance of doubling down the efforts to cope with the security and economic challenges, boost Customs monitoring in order to ensure stability and create safe environment that support the development drive, encourage investment.
