The Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Aden, Eng. Mohammed Bakhbira, accompanied by a delegation from UNICEF headed by the organization's Resident Representative in Yemen Peter Hawkins inspected today the needs of Bir Ahmed water field with alternative energy, to ensure the continued production and pumping of water to the districts of Aden Governorate.
Bakhbira acquainted the UNICEF delegation with the level of work of the UNICEF-funded submersible pumps supply project in the Bir Ahmed water field, which total 30 submersible pumps, stressing the need for more interventions to ensure the continued production of water and supply to Aden districts.
